How I Became a Pirate – by Melinda Long

how-i-becameHow I Became  a Pirate – by Melinda Long
This just might be the best pirate book ever, for boys and girls ages 4-8. It’s about a boy, Jeremy Jacob, who gets taken by the pirates while digging a sand castle on the beach. Jeremy learns that being a pirate is fun because you don’t have to mind your manners, brush your teeth, or eat veggies, but then there is the other side, who is going to read you the bedtime story or comfort you when you are scared. The boys will love it, and the chances are, after the story is over, they will say at least once “Shiver me timbers!” :) , while girls will be reassured that the pirates are really toothless and odd creatures. Read it, you’ll really enjoy it!
